1. Browse & Select a Retreat
Browse our events calendar to see our current offerings. Click on any event title to go to its registration page and learn more.
2. Select your Room Type
Once you have selected a retreat, scroll to the bottom of its registration page. You will see a form where you’ll select which room type you would like during your stay with us. Here is a simple breakdown of each type. All room pricing includes all meals and the use of our facility.
*Note: Not all room types will be offered for every retreat.
*Note: For virtual events, you will not choose a room type.
A Single room contains 1 twin bed.

A Double room contains 2 twin beds.
Each person in a Double room must register separately.
*If there is a specific person you want to room with, you must enter their name into the Roommate Preference field during registration. Otherwise, you will be matched with another individual of the same gender who has registered for the Double option.
A Dorm room contains 3-4 twin beds.
Each person in a Dorm room must register separately.
*If there are specific people you want to room with, you must enter their names into the Roommate Preference field during registration. Otherwise, you will be matched with others of the same gender who have registered for the Dorm option.
*Dorm rooms are only available on the 4th floor
A Commuter travels to and from Garrison Institute each day of the retreat and does not sleep overnight at the Institute.
*Commuters have full access to all meals and retreat programming

Once you have decided on a room type, click on the dropdown arrow and change the quantity from 0 to 1. Then, click on the blue Checkout button to proceed to the next step.
Note: If you wish to make a donation to support the Garrison Institute’s work and ensure our programs remain accessible, you may do so during this step.
3. Fill out Your Information & Special Requests
Enter your name, email (please double check the spelling), and gender.
- If you are registering for a Double or Dorm room, enter the name of the person you would like to room with in the Roommate Preference field, if there is someone specific.
- If you have special dietary needs, enter them into the Special Requests/ Dietary Restrictions field.
- If you have mobility issues or require other disability accommodations, enter them into the Disabilities/Accommodation field. Most rooms require stairs to access and we do not have a passenger elevator. If stairs will be challenging for you, please notify us in the Disabilities/Accommodation field during registration so we can best help you.
Then, click on the blue Payment button to proceed to the next step.
4. Make your Payment
Enter your credit card details and then click on the blue Pay button. It may take a minute to process. If your payment has gone through successfully, you will see a confirmation page.
Note: Some virtual events are offered free of cost. In this case, you will not need to enter payment information.
And that’s it! You should receive an email confirmation from events@garrisoninstitute.org within a few minutes of registering. As the retreat approaches, you will receive further email communications from us with all the information you need to know about your stay.

Other Notes
Scholarships: Select retreats offer scholarships to partially subsidize the cost of registration. If a scholarship is being offered for a retreat, it will be notated in the description of the event page, so please visit that specific event page to see which scholarship(s) are being offered for that retreat and how to apply. If you wish to apply to a scholarship, apply first and then wait to hear your result before registering.
