A newly designed and installed seven-circuit spiral labyrinth now graces the Garrison Institute grounds. The boxwood-bordered labyrinth is nestled in the former monastery’s walled garden.
Labyrinths and spirals have ritual and contemplative signifi cance going back to neolithic times, and are especially suited to walking meditation. This one is a living reminder of the spiraling, interconnected, organic, vital community that has grown up around the Institute, within which we work together to create transformative change.
An outdoor dedication of the labyrinth, with music and light refreshments, will be held on October 17 at 3pm. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 845.424.4800 or email garrison@garrisoninstitute.org.
The labyrinth is open to the public.
