We would like to let you know about the upcoming “Compassion Festival” in Telluride, Colorado, July 8-10, 2011, hosted by our friends at the Telluride Institute. The conference brings together the wisdom traditions of the Navajo, Tibetan Buddhism, and Neuroscience to explore the themes of compassion, suffering, and mental life. The three-day event will bring representatives of these three perspectives together for panel discussions, conversations, seminars and question-and-answer sessions; these assemblies will be complemented by ceremonies, sand paintings, movie screenings, a Navajo trading post and a Tibetan market.
