The Garrison Institute Contemplative Scholarships Program
The Program was created to make the unique benefits of a sitting contemplative practice in a retreat context more widely available. In the early years of the Program, scholarships were offered to educators, artists and health care professionals. Now, Garrison Institute will make the experience of a contemplative practice available to anyone with a commitment to service – a deep desire to devote oneself to servicing others through their work. Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age or older and working full-time in their profession.
Potential eligible scholarship recipients may include:
- Educators, school administrators and staff (pre-K through college)
- Health care professionals
- Artists
- First responders
- Employees working for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization or private foundation
- Employees of government and non-governmental organizations providing direct services
- Members of active or retired military; reservists

How To Apply
Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, but we recommend applying early while there is still funding available. To apply for a scholarship, please complete and submit this form.
