The Environmental Dashboard is an emerging communication technology that combines real-time display of water and electricity use in buildings, organizations and through whole communities with photographs and ideas contributed by community members. The approach focuses on multiple audiences with sophisticated analytical tools that identify conservation opportunities in buildings. Using digital signage and compelling websites to make flows of resources visible while building social networks promotes pro-environmental action.
