Ashok Gupta discusses the NRDC’s Behavioral Wedge research. He highlights the potential for aggregated, small, individual actions to generate large-scale impact. Gupta gives examples of simple behavioral steps that can be taken by individuals to reduce their carbon footprints and notes the importance of understanding how the public comes to value and can be motivated to engage in environmentally friendly action. Presented at the Garrison Institute’s Climate, Buildings and Behavior Symposium, May 2010.
