Linda Lantieri, Director of the Inner Resilience Program and founding board member of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL), shares stories from her work in developing and implementing evidence-based contemplative education programs into educational settings, drawing on the framework of social-emotional learning models to highlight the benefits of bringing contemplative practices into education. Focusing on teachers’ inner needs, embodiment of the practices, and supporting the cultivation of these skills are lifted up as key elements to effecting change in students and classrooms.
