David Gershon discusses the use of key design principles in the fight against climate change. Gershon notes that new technologies, renewable energy development, and traditional forms of social change are not necessarily viable, timely solutions to the climate change problem. Gershon presents five key design principles and discusses their relevance to fostering transformative social change and addressing environmental issues. Presented at the Garrison Institute’s Climate, Buildings and Behavior Symposium, May 2010.
