Anisa Baldwin Metzger discusses change management in school districts through the lens of the Center for Green Schools Fellowship Program, which places sustainability directors in school districts for a period of three years. Stationed in Boston and Sacramento, the 2011 Fellows have been in place for a year and have had widely different experiences in shaping their districts’ approaches to environmental sustainability. Anisa presents the current Fellows’ work, her own work as the first Fellow at the Recovery School District in New Orleans, and the work of the small group of sustainability staff working in K12 districts across the country.
